Firstly I want to say that I am not a gamer. However I have a 22inch monitor with 1920 1080 optimum resolution. This graphics card delivers very well provided your monitor driver is installed. The installation was a bit bothersome 1. DirectX - reboot 2. Install card 3. Java - reboot 4. Product Software - reboot.etc. Your experience may be better. I have a really old machine 2.8Ghz pentium4. My internet and pc experience is fast and crisp probably thanks to the 512mb headroom wich my pc did not have before. No fan so silent. For where I am at in life this card is the ticket.

There are five computers in my house, four desk-tops and one lap-top, all linked to each other and to the Internet via a router. The desk-tops are all about ten years old, use Pentium 4 CPUs with speeds around 1.8 GHz and have at least 1Gb of RAM. They are all currently running Windows XP Professional. The Graphics Cards are using the AGP mother board slot as there are no free PCI slots available. None of these machines is ever used for video gaming, film or music streaming or similar fatuous activities. They are therefore perfectly adequate for purpose (word processing, on line trading, engineering and scientific applications, data and information storage and retrieval, Amateur Radio communications and logging programmes etc.).
However, with the impending removal of support for Windows XP, I must consider installing Windows 7 but find that the currently installed Graphics Driver Cards are inadequate as they do not support the required Active X modes. The EVGA GF 6200 is an AGP device and is supported by Windows 7.
I have already successfully upgraded two of my machines using these cards and have just ordered two more cards to upgrade the other machines, in readiness for the installation of Windows 7 when support for Win XP ceases next year.
