The version shown in the picture is the one I got from Amazon. I am running windows 7 64 bit and concur with other recent reviews in saying that I have no driver problems.
It's a 5770 and performance wise it's probably no better than any other 5770. What it does better than some others is run very quietly when playing games and silently when at idle. Sapphires own website claims maximum noise under load to be 30db and I've never heard it above my two 18db case fans.
Ventilation in my cramped matx case is not the best but the cooler on this card handles the situation with ease, typically it idles at 38c and reaches 67c full load. I am very pleased with it.

Like most, I heard there were many driver issues concerning this card (not uncommon for a new graphics card series I suppose) so I stayed clear for a few months to give ATI a chance to resolve them. And now, issues seem to be resolved...
I bought this card 3 days ago and I've had NO problems.
Installation was quick and easy - the card fit like a glove and there was just a few simple on-screen steps to follow once the installation disc was in.. Although I would suggest manually removing all previous GPU drivers before inserting the disc. The whole procedure (including fitting a new 500w OCZ PSU to replace my 300w) took only 45mins.
Once I was up n runing, and online, Windows 7 detected that there were new drivers available which I quickly installed. NB. Windows 7 auto directs you to the 32-Bit drivers so if you're running a 64-bit just use Google to find the correct download. 64-Bit drivers ARE on ATI's site.
I have so far tried Crysis and FSX, and both games are running on high with no issues and plenty of FPS... and both look GREAT by the way! I've also tried Battlefield: Bad Co.2 which is running on the HIGHEST graphics with no issues.
The card stayed quiet, efficient and stayed cool during all tests.
Great card! Great price! (just £135) ... and no problems... on my Windows 7 64-bit!!

This card is as close as you can get to a very high end card without spending a fortune. I would also highly recommend if your planning on using crossfire.
Note: You should be aware that this isn't the 5770 model which has 2 hdmi ports.

Very good graphic card that features HDMI video & audio. On the Windows 7 performance information tools it rates 7.5, the highest rating possible is 7.9 so depending on PC hardware you're getting a good low to mid priced card!
One point of note is the high revs from the cooling fan on the card during the initial windows bios start up but apart from that the card runs fairly quietly. I use the card purely for HD playback but I'm sure gamers require more demanding tasks, the card can be tweeked via software so overclocking is possible.
Be warned it takes TWO card spaces so if your card slots are full you may need to do without one of them, especially the one next to the PCI express slot! It also needs a four pin PCI express power connector, if your PSU isn't fitted with one then an adapter is supplied with the card. Minimum watts on your PSU must be 450watts, I tried to get away with running it on 430watts....blue screen city arrived so dont be a skinflint and spend a little extra to give it the juice it needs to work proper!
Nuff sedd!

Great card. I bought it mainly for directx11, but all my games now run ALOT smoother and also look MUCH better: Fallout New Vegas looks so good it almost looks to be running on a different engine. Call of Pripyat also runs smoothly with everything maxed. On my old 9600GT, framerates with antialiasing enabled were so slow I had to leave it off completeley. I think it's also the quietest card I've come across.

I bought this to replace my Nvidia 8800gts,as games have moved on,it was esay to install,i downloaded the latest drivers from ATI,and all is ok,im using Windows 7 64bit,and some have complained this card does not always work, but i guess the latest drivers have solved this, this card along with my HD monitor gives first class picture quality, games now run on Ultra high, and as this has come down in price alot,it is great value for money, the cooling system on the card is very good, the fan can be noisy, when you load the card, but it shows it is doing its job,all in all a great card for the money.

I bought this card to replace an Nvidia GTX260 which suddenly died on me.
For a number of years I have been an avid Gamer that has been firmly been in the Nvidia Camp.
However this time around I thought I would defect and try what AMD(ATI) has to offer for a change.
I am very impressed with this graphic card. Its about a third smaller than the GTX260.
The card runs quiet all round even when under loud. The fans on my external hard drive are louder.
I've been testing the card on the following games- Medal of Honour,Crysis Warfare,Call of Duty Black OPS,Blood Bowl Ledgends,Call of Duty Warfare 2 and Battlefield 2 Bad Company.
It runs all these games at high frame rates at 1680 x 1050 resolution(default of my monitor). My PC is quite oldish in terms of Specs (AMD X2 3.1.GHZ dual core,3GB ram.)so,as far as I am concerned this graphic card runs everything I want to play fine.
I certainly think its an upgrade from the GTX260.Its not miles ahead of it in performance but certainly noticeable better. DX11 games run a lot better.
The card represents good mid-range performance and value for money .

I was unfortunate enough to suffer a fan breakage on my trusty 4870 card, mostly due (I think) to my manhandling of the fan when cleaning the heatsink. As such, I went hunting across the vas expanses of the internet, searching for a new graphics card that would provide me decent value for my money and be a reasonable upgrade for my computer at the same time. I had decided to stick with an ATI card, due to my overall positive experiences with their products.
After quite extensive research, I decided on getting a HD 5770 card, and then proceeded to check the various prices for all the different versions. I was therefore pleasantly suprised to find that Amazon was selling this very card for more than £30 less that nearly all other stores, and immediately ordered the card. I use my pc to play a lot of videogames, as well as quite a bit of graphical editing, so I was hoping this card would be what I was looking for.
On receipt of my package, I opened it to find that I had received a slightly different version than pictured, with more extensive heatsinks and copper tubing running around the edge of the fan cover. Installation was quite simple - simply unplug your old card (don't forget to remove the monitor plugs - I started pulling my card out and was puzzled as to why it wouldn't move!) and slot your new one in. The card itself requires two expansion bay slots, so it's sensible to place it on the bottom PCI-E slot on the standard mobo layout.
Once my card was in, I booted up my PC (running on Windows 7 x64), having already removed my old ATI Catalyst drivers and run a Driver Sweeper clean in Safe Mode before I unplugged my old card, and let the system detect the new hardware. Once that was done, I simply inserted the supplied driver disc and followed the bootup. On a sidenote, the installation does try to install a 10 day trial of LOTR Online, which is easily unchecked. After installing the drivers, I immediately put my card through it's paces, running a Furmark torture test, and then using the built in ATI Overdrive program to increase the clock speeds on the card.
The 5770 definitely surpassed my expectations, maintaining a cool 68C even at full load, although I do have custom case fans in use. If you're anything like me, and you read a million reviews before deciding on your purchase, you'll have noticed that there has been a number of reports of cards freezing up when in use. ATi has been working on the problem for a while now, and I had hoped that they would have fixed it when I bought the card, since they had blamed the problem on a Windows update. However, I experienced the issue myself while playing a number of games online, which annoyed me no end. However, since the release of the 11.1 drivers in the last week, there has been no problems at all, so I decided to give the card 5 stars after all.
All in all, this card is simply one of the best medium level cards going, and at an incredible price here as well. It runs my games, from CounterStrike to Mass Effect 2, as well as Crysis, Black Ops, WoW, etc - all at maximum or near max settings, at 1920x1080 res, without any significant drops in fps, or any other problems, as well as playing all my HD videos increidbly smoothly. Definitely worth the buy!
