As a keen Flight Simmer for many years I have finally found a graphics card to run all FSX setting at max and get great smooth frame rates.FSX is probably the most graphic intensive program for a PC and this card brings it to it's full potential.FSX is mainly a processor hungry beast and even though the new Nvidea GTX 690 is supposed to be the fastest card (and twice the price at this time of writing), it runs slower in FSX as the problem lies in it's dual processors.I have shown to friends FSX as it should be used at very high res, smooth graphics and running an overclocked GTX 680 made easy with the Evga Precision X overclocking software which came with this card.I am no PC expert and managed to overclock this card in a few minutes and looking at the results the temperature runs cool with little noise from the card. You get what you pay for in life and this card is well worth the money.

Cons:
the only downside i can think of for this card is that its quite large and that is really it.

Pros:
amazing power
you can very easily overclock it with the precision X tool they include in the driver CD.
very cool temps even when overclocked

Without a doubt this card deserves 5 stars !! I play mostly first person shooters and this card has sent my FPS through the roof......all without overclocking the card. For example, with MoHW I'm now able to get 150-160 FPS IN GAME, with this card.

I did try over clocking and installing the latest Nvidia driver, but this only seemed to slow the card down. The biggest problem I believe is Nvidia's latest driver, (314.22). This driver seems to do nothing but drop frames, cause tearing of the image, and generally hinder the performance of your card. Nvidia have finally admitted there is an issue with this driver but have yet to release an update. I therefore rolled my driver back to a previous more stable version, for me 310.90 works best. I then reset the card to default settings, and wow, what a difference. The only issue I now have it I need to upgrade my monitor to keep up :-)

However onto the EVEN better news, which actually starts with some bad news. About 2 weeks after receiving the card, I turned on my rig, and it would not boot, I would just get a sequence of beeps and that was it. Having consulted the Alienware manual, turns out that those beeps were telling me that the graphics card had failed the startup test. Removed and replaced with my previous card and all was fine. Placed the GTX680 into another machine and had the same result. So I knew it was the card.

I'd, (for once), followed the instructions and registered the card and uploaded my Amazon receipt to EVGA's website. I was going to send the card back to the Amazon seller, (who buy the way was willing to offer a full refund), but I chose to raise an RMA with EVGA. This is because the card comes with a 3 year EVGA warranty and on the box EVGA state that if you have any issues contact them and not the place you bought the card..........so happy I followed that advice.

One of the reasons I bought the EVGA version of this card was because I'd read so many good things about EVGA customer service and warranty service. They did not disappoint !! I live in the UK, so I contacted the European EVGA service dept, (which is based in Germany), told them what had happened and what tests I'd done and the guy said yep sounds like it was a failed card. He asked if I'd registered it on their site and uploaded my receipt already, as if I hadn't it would slow things down a bit, I told him I had and once he found my registration we were good to go, (so register your card and upload your receipt, it's worth the 10 or so minutes it takes). The guys I spoke to at EVGA, not only had a great customer service skills, but they were funny and sociable and really made me feel like they were doing all they could to get this sorted ASAP.

As my card had failed within 30 days of purchase EVGA also paid for the collection of my card via UPS. Within 10 working days, my replacement card was with me, (again via UPS), and has been functioning fine, (touch wood) ever since.

This card is a powerful bit of kit, it really does handle anything your throw at it with ease. However EVGA's warranty and customer service take it to a whole new level. Without doubt, any future purchases I make will involve EVGA where possible.

This graphics card is truly amazing, I was able to run battlefield 3 on ULTRA settings and have an average of 60-100fps rate online with over 64+ people.

the only issue I had with this card was the packaging, it looked as if it was second hand, the box was torn in several places, crumpled up and just overall looked very cheap for a £500 card.

I'd personally highly recommend this card, the 4GB is perfect for a multi-screen setup and is a lot cheaper than the GTX 690.

Great performance and works on all games. Not the top of the range but in a couple of years it can be updated when the latest one gets cheaper.

It runs everything incredibly smoothly, and I managed to fit it inside my dell xps 8300s case. It's a big card, but it is silent! Fantastic!
