I done a lot of searching and reading reviews about dell dim 3100. To cut it short I found the best pci graphics card that works great when compared to the on board graphics. Delivery was the next day as promised and it was easy to install and worked 1st time. I would recommend this card to anyone who was getting ready to give up on a possible upgrade as I nearly did. The reviews concerning the pci express x1 were very off putting and the price even more so. Go to Amazon or search for nvidia geforce fx 6200 pci. I could say much more but it allowed me to improve performance and use programmes that I couldnt before. It was a good little investment that gave this pc capabilities that I thought were out of reach. It has 256mb ddr2 mem, dvi,vga,hdtv,low profile, passive, installation cd and works great under win 7 ultimate 64 bit, a reasonable clock speed, direct x 9, 3d and shading. Obviously its not as good as the pci express x16 cards as its only a pci card but it put some life into a pc that is a reasonable desktop with reasonable all round performance.

I required a video card which could handle 1920x1080 resolution for my new HD monitor. My poxy inbuilt Dell video card couldn't manage. The FX6200 was just the ticket, good price, fitted into a PCI slot and performs pretty well. So far so good, quite happy with it. Would recommend.

Excellen purchse, should of got this to begin with instead of the useless ATI / Radeon card.
Worked like a treat and is compatible with bot old and new operating systems. Drivers are readily available and updates frequently available also.
Everything with this card seemed to run so smoothly - almost to good to be true, but it was.
The only drawback i ahve noticed is that running it on xp using a pentium 4 at 2.4 ghx and 1 gig ram - full hd video is choppy and tends to freeze quite frequently. for me personally not to much of a problem as not really using much HD.
However with a more powerful machine, would think it would run fine.
